Dr. Qi earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from China Pharmaceutical University in 2004. She is a visiting professor from Peking University, China. Her previous research focused on the PEG-conjugated dendrimers as in-vitro and in-vivo DNA and RNA delivery vectors. Now, she is working with Prof. Mark Banaszak Holl, and studying the endocytosis mechanism of polycationic dendrimer-DNA polyplexes using biochemistry techniques to up or down regulate some crucial receptor or protein related to internalization pathways of nanoparticles.
